ABOUT THE TEAM
Our team included two computer engineering students in San Francisco State’s College of Engineering. Work on the project was divided evenly between both members and involved weekly meetings. The VoIP program, Discord, was utilized heavily to facilitate constant communication pertaining to ongoing progress. Project constraints and goals were discussed and possible solutions were conceived during the design phase. Both members purchased the components used in the final design to facilitate debugging without having to meet in person.
Code was developed equally with Howard providing functionality for the sound portion of the motion alarm and with Deangelo providing the MPU9250’s I2C implementation. After constructing the device for testing, both team members began debugging various issues and integrating the various subcomponents of the project. Several issues were faced during development and Keil’s debugger tool helped identify and mitigate the problem. Due to the high level of communication and hard work, the team was able to complete the objectives and produce a fully functioning device.
