Bicycle Alarm

Having no way of deterring a thief from stealing a bicycle even when a lock was used is frustrating at best. Our team came up with a motion-sensing alarm system to deter any wannabe criminal from continuing with the theft of the bicycle. This project allowed us to experiment with and learn the capabilities of the Tiva TM4C123 microcontroller. By using the microcontroller in conjunction with an external Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and a speaker, a fully encapsulated system could be created to achieve the desired goal of deterring bike thieves.
